Government grant funding has enabled many local authorities to install public charging infrastructure across the country. The On-Street Residential Charge point Scheme provides funding to install on-street charging points for use by electric vehicle drivers in their local authority.
The Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OZEV) has allocated £20m of funding for 2020/21 for on-street residential projects. This funding is available to Local Authorities for eligible projects. The funding available is for 75% of the capital costs of procuring and installing the chargepoint and an associated dedicated parking bay.
